I didn’t start my career in the HVAC industry - I followed my heart and went to college to study zoology. After years in the animal husbandry industry, I decided that it was going to be difficult to get where I wanted to be professionally, so I moved into the tech world. I worked as a project manager for network and server installations for a few years before moving into a traveling consulting role for technical support in live shows, specializing in interactive meetings and wireless electronic voting systems. Through those experiences, I learned the value of processes and preparation as well as effective communication with many different clients all over the world. The traveling life is difficult with a family back home, though, so after a number of years of this work I made the difficult decision to pursue a career closer to home.

Through personal connections, I was fortunate to land a job in sales working with Jason at his previous company despite having no prior HVAC experience. Through the years there, I learned a ton about the HVAC trade and worked in a number of roles as sales manager, service manager, as well as in general operations and business planning. My experiences there gave me insight into the trade in general as well as further knowledge of business management added to my prior unique experiences in other industries. A while after Jason sold that company to private equity, he offered me a business coaching role with HVAC Coach Pro and I jumped at the chance to come on board.

My favorite aspect of my professional career has always been helping the folks that I work with discover their value and reach their professional and personal goals. Business coaching is a perfect fit because now I’m able to help many more contractors, business owners, managers, and technicians all over the country.
